I want to let you know about our current fundraiser, to raise $10,000 for two more chicken coops in Phalombe, Malawi. To do so, I want to share with you the many ways you have already impacted over 9,000 people who live in the six villages we have adopted.

This is an interview with Christopher Kapito, who coordinates our work there, about how the water wells have impacted them. It is about 10 minutes, and I believe you will find it inspirational, but if you do not have time to watch it, then here are the main points:

  • Over 9,000 people now have access to clean water
  • Cholera, which was killing people, has been eliminated!
  • A local school now has access to clean water for its students
  • People are planting vegetable gardens that they can irrigate with water from the wells and selling some of the vegetables and in turn using that money to send their children to school!
  • Divorce has gone down dramatically as a direct result of us digging these wells (you will have to listen to understand this…it is worth hearing about!)
  • Church attendance is up
  • Families have more time together (it used to take 6 hours a day, every day for women to get water)
  • Numerous baptisms have been made possible as well!

We have raised almost $4,000, so we still need to raise another $6,000. If you would like to donate, please contact me, and I can send you a link!

I know it has been a while since some of you have heard from me, and I apologize for that. My global ministry with international churches has ramped up in the past year, and I have been spending a lot of time "on the road", but that has changed now!
