Strengthening the International Church Movement for Missional Impact
The Missional International Church Network’s (MICN) annual conference in May in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was an incredible conference for international church leaders. Most of these church leaders come from the 10/40 window (an area considered to contain some of the least and hardest to reach people groups in the world; for more on this term, click here).
The conference featured a total of three main speakers, a dozen seminar leaders, times of worship, prayer, communion, and counseling services with the aim of “Strengthening the International Church Movement for Missional Impact!”
As part of MICN’s international leadership team, I helped coordinate the event. One of the highlights of the conference was being a part of a lunch with Bill Hybels and then hosting a couple of sessions with him.
Last fall, I accepted an invitation to join MICN’s International Leadership Team, and as a part of this work, FMI is able to “Stimulate Organic Growth” by pouring into the lives of these international church leaders who are on the front lines of the Gospel. Ultimately, we are helping MICN to grow and reach more people, maximize their effectiveness in encouraging and equipping these international church leaders, and expand their work beyond their annual conferences.
If you would like to know more about MICN’s work, you can check out their website http://www.micn.org/or click here to sign up for their newsletters to learn more about what God is doing in other international churches around the world!
The day after the conference ended, the MICN Leadership Team met and already have plans underway for the next conference which will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam, April 23-26, 2018. If you are interested in what God is doing in international churches and want to attend, you are more than welcome! Contact FMI and let me know of your interest, and I will make sure you get an invitation.
