Church Planting Summit in Tallinn, Estonia

I returned yesterday for a church planting summit in Tallinn, Estonia, which I touched on in a post yesterday on Facebook when I first got home. Unlike a traditional conference, a summit involves getting leaders together to search out solutions together, versus simply bringing in experts to teach at a conference.

As I lead a group of churches who are planting new churches in the Nordic-Baltic region, it was profitable for me to be there, and it opened a number of doors for future church planting opportunities. Additionally, my friend Helari Puu, who has held a number of high level positions including being head of the Estonian Baptist Union and of the entire European Baptist Federation, asked me to come to look specifically into planting an English-speaking church in Tallinn. Progress was made in that regard, but I will share on that more in the future after some more steps are taken. I got a lot out of the conference and feel it served its purposes very well, but everything I have seen Converge Worldwide do has been done with excellence.

I am looking forward to future trips, especially to Tallinn, Estonia, and Riga, Latvia, as we iron out details of new international churches possibly being planted in these capital cities.
