Visit to Little Stukeley
Thanks to those of you who prayed for me over the weekend. I made a trip to Little Stukeley at the request of the interim pastor at our IBC church there, Grace Fellowship. The church is struggling, and he asked me to come and encourage the members. It was a real honor to be there and have the opportunity to speak to the church.
I also had the chance to sit down with Pete (the interim pastor) and another elder and discuss possible steps forward for the church. They have had some fantastic developments recently, including being given a second church building in the nearby village of Gidding and a parsonage for free. This is opening up the doors for further ministry, but they are praying they can find a pastor who can seize these opportunities and build up congregations in both locations simultaneously.
I will be following up with Pete in the weeks to come as well as pursuing some contacts within military circles who may be able to help them find a pastor who would be a good fit for the church. We will also be meeting with Dr. Jimmy Martin, IBC General Secretary, in Interlaken this summer to discuss any ideas he may have for the church. Please keep all of us involved in your prayers.
