Meet Scott Marler
Scott B. Marler
Scott trusted in Christ at the age of 19 and was baptized about 2 years later while attending college. He served as a Deacon in the Baptist church in Houston, Texas, in the early 1980s, and as Elder in 4 other churches in Louisiana and Texas over the next 20 years. Scott has worked for more than 35 years in the petroleum industry as a geophysicist for both major and independent oil companies working in onshore and offshore areas of the USA, Libya, and Equatorial Guinea.
Scott and his wife, Carol, have been married for more than 40 years and have 3 children. His oldest daughter, Scottie, is married to FMI president, David. His daughter, Markell, is married and lives in Sugar Land, Texas, and his son, Ethan, lives in Austin, Texas.
Scott has recently retired from the petroleum industry and continues to serve FMI as a Board Member and as Manager for Asia and Oceania overseeing FMI’s expanding work in this region.
