FMI Provides 1000 More Bibles to Uganda

One of the greatest gifts we can give as Christians is the Word of God. Many of us have multiple copies of the Bible in our homes, on our phones, and in our tablets, so it is hard for us to imagine what life would be like without our own copy of the Scriptures. Yet many people in northern Uganda still do not have their own Bible. Sometimes the only copy in the village is kept at the church, and church members must come to the church to read it. In 2013 we distributed 1400 Bibles; this year we sent 1,008. This is wonderful progress, yet so many more Bibles are still needed.

Connecting with Another International Church Network

In early October I had the opportunity to meet with the leadership team of the Missional International Church Network (MICN) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. MICN (www.micn.org) is a network of multicultural, multinational churches in locations all over the globe. MICN seeks to support, encourage, and resource these churches. They are a great group of people doing important international ministry, and they invited me to come to their annual leadership meeting, so we could all get to know each other better and see how the Lord might lead us to work together in the future.
